ALEX MORSANUTTO is an award-winning filmmaker who creates films, commercials, and music videos. His clients include Unilever, Brother Printer, Kiehl’s, CBS, Kona Brewing Company, and Chevrolet. He recently directed a comedic broadcast commercial for Pond’s Men. Alex is currently unsigned and seeking representation.

His narrative work has programmed at numerous film festivals, used for broadcast and has been published on Short of The Week, The Atlantic, No Film School, and FOX Sports. His most recent film, ‘Hi-Glow Retro’, a 70’s inspired disco dramedy, brought home a dozen awards before premiering on Short of the Week. ‘Waiting: The Story of DJ Morrell’, is his most recent short documentary film and the first episode of a Docu-Series that will follow professional athletes who are fighting for another shot to compete at the highest level. It was featured in The Atlantic, Fox Sports, The Outside Game, APlus.com, The Hour, Daily Voice, and Winner of Video of the Day – votd.tv

This year, his sports drama ‘Beasts of Suburbia’ made it to the final round of Sundance’s Episodic Lab.

Before filmmaking — Alex pursued a career in journalism and worked for ABC News. Though he’s moved on to mostly fictional narrative stories, the desire to explore humanity and unique stories is still very much alive. Alex graduated from NYU Tisch with honors, double-majoring in Film/TV Production & Journalism.
